Colleague Profile – Eleni Fydanidou
Psychologist
I am Eleni, a psychologist working with children, adolescents, and families in The Hague. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Greece and went on to earn my Master of Science at Leiden University. I am a member of the NIP (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen).
My practice is centered on providing a warm, holistic, and empathetic environment for children and teens going through all stages of typical development. My primary focus is on nurturing social-emotional development, emotional well-being, healthy growth, and inner resilience. To support young people and expat families in navigating everyday life and developmental milestones, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play therapy and creative arts—always viewing the child within the supportive context of their whole family system.
Alongside my general practice, I bring valuable experience in special needs education, early childhood intervention, neurodiversity, and sensory integration. Guided by continuous professional development, I tailor my work—whether through psychoeducation, parental counseling, or direct therapy—to honor each child’s unique strengths and needs.
What drives me most is creating a warm supportive space where young people and their families can build inner strength, navigate life authentically and thrive together.
Outside of the practice, I bring that same creative and intuitive energy into my daily life. You can usually find me spending time in nature, playing tennis, singing, acting, traveling, or relaxing with a good book.
I look forward to welcoming you and your family.
